Bobbie Darbyshire’s two other novels, Truth Games (2009), about infidelity in 1970s London, and Oz (2014), about family secrets, have been published by Cinnamon Press. Bobbie won the 2008 fiction prize at the National Academy of Writing, and her piece Beads on a String won the New Delta Review Creative Nonfiction Prize 2010. Her story Something Missing was published by Arachne Press in their 2013 anthology Lovers Lies. Bobbie has worked as barmaid, mushroom picker, film extra, maths coach, cabinet minister’s private secretary, care assistant and volunteer adult-literacy teacher, as well as in social research and government policy. She hosts a writers’ group and lives in London.
